SCOTLAND Scotland is a Kingdom within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland. There are five million people in Scotland.

According to another version the name derives from "beinn nèamh-bhathais", which literally means "mountain, the top of which obscured by clouds“. Its height is 1344 meters.
